Online Quran classes in Spain
Private live Quran lessons for Pakistani families in Spain: one teacher for one student, times that fit the late Spanish day, and lessons that continue during summers in Pakistan.
Quran lessons for Pakistani families in Spain
Spain is home to a large and settled Pakistani community. Many families live in and around Barcelona, in neighbourhoods such as El Raval and in nearby towns like Badalona, Santa Coloma de Gramenet and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, while others have made their homes in Madrid, Valencia, Tarragona, Logroño and smaller towns across the country. A large share of them trace their roots to Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhelum and the villages around Kharian, and many still visit family in Pakistan every year.
Parents want their children to read the Quran correctly, with proper Tajweed, and to keep a living link with their faith. Local mosques and weekend classes do valuable work, but they are often crowded, and a child may get only a few minutes of individual attention. One-to-one online Quran classes bring a qualified teacher to your home on a live video call, at the hour your family chooses. OQC.com.pk teaches from Pakistan to students worldwide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Children who live in three or four languages
Children growing up in Spain often juggle several languages every day: Spanish at school, Catalan too if they live in Catalonia, Punjabi or Urdu at home, and English as a school subject. Parents sometimes worry that adding Arabic letters will be too much. In practice, reading the Quran is a separate skill that every child learns step by step, whatever language they speak at home.
Beginners start with the Noorani Qaida: each letter and its sound, then joined letters, then short words. From there they move on to Nazra Quran and proper Tajweed. Teachers explain in simple Urdu or English. We do not promise Spanish- or Catalan-speaking teachers, so use the free trial to see how comfortable your child is with the teacher's explanations.
Fitting lessons into the Spanish day
Daily life in Spain runs on a later clock than in many countries. School often finishes in the late afternoon, children may have after-school activities, and dinner is frequently eaten late in the evening. Many parents also work long or split shifts in shops, restaurants, delivery, construction or their own businesses. A fixed class time at a mosque does not always fit.
Because we teach at every hour, you choose the slot that suits your home. Popular choices are:
- Late afternoon: young children, straight after school and a snack, before they get tired.
- Early evening: older children, once homework is done and before a late dinner.
- Morning: mothers and other adults while the children are at school.
- Late evening: working fathers after their shift.
- Weekends: for families who prefer Saturday or Sunday lessons.
If your work pattern changes, the lesson time can change too, and our team first tries to keep the same teacher at the new time.
Private attention instead of a crowded class
In a busy weekend class, a quiet child can go weeks without reading aloud, and small pronunciation mistakes settle into habits. In a private lesson the teacher listens to one student only. Every letter is heard, every mistake is corrected gently on the spot, and the pace matches the student. Children who learn a little on most days of the week usually remember far more than children who learn only once a week.
Parents are welcome to sit nearby and listen. Many find it reassuring to hear exactly what their child is learning and how they are improving.
Long summers in Pakistan, lessons that continue
Spanish schools have a long summer break, and many families spend several weeks with relatives in Gujrat, Jhelum or elsewhere in Pakistan. With a local class, that usually means a long pause and a lot of forgetting. Online lessons travel with you: the student joins from a phone or tablet wherever the family is staying, often with the same teacher. Some families use the summer for extra lessons, for example to finish the Qaida or to revise Hifz. Cousins in Pakistan can learn the same courses at their own times; see online Quran classes in Gujrat and Jhelum.
Female or male teacher
Female and male teachers are both available 24/7. Many families choose a female Quran teacher for daughters, young children and mothers. Students normally stay with the same teacher, who keeps track of their progress from lesson to lesson. For tips on judging a teacher during the free trial, see choosing an online Quran teacher.
How a lesson works
Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the Qaida or Quran page and points to the word to be read. The student reads aloud from the shared page on a phone, tablet or laptop, and the teacher corrects pronunciation and Tajweed straight away. No printed Quran is needed. On the Monday to Friday plan each lesson is 30 minutes. See how it works for the full picture.
One-to-one
The teacher listens to one student, not a crowded class.

Questions from families in Spain
What is the time difference between Spain and Pakistan?
Mainland Spain is 4 hours behind Pakistan in winter and 3 hours behind in summer, because Spain moves its clocks forward in late March and back in late October while Pakistan does not. A 6 pm lesson in Barcelona or Madrid is 10 pm in Pakistan in winter and 9 pm in summer. The Canary Islands are one hour further behind.
Do we have to change the lesson time when the clocks change?
No. The lesson is booked at your local Spanish time and our teachers adjust on their side, so your child keeps the same hour all year.
My children speak Spanish and Catalan better than Urdu. Can they still learn?
Yes. The Quran is read in Arabic, so the core skill is the same for every child. Teachers explain in simple Urdu or English, and the free trial is a good chance to see which language works best for your child.
Can lessons fit around the Spanish school day?
Yes. We teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can choose a time after school, after the evening snack, or before a late dinner. You pick the days and the hour.
Is a female teacher available?
Yes. Female and male teachers are both available 24/7 on every course.
What is the fee?
The Monday to Friday plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student for 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday. Our team explains how to pay from Spain and discusses the fee for any other schedule.
Is the first lesson free?
Yes. The trial lesson is free, with nothing to pay and no obligation.
