Online Quran classes in Jhelum

Private live Quran lessons for every generation in Jhelum, from a child's first Qaida lesson to Tajweed in retirement.

Quran lessons for every generation in Jhelum

Jhelum is a district with a proud history of service. Generations of its men have served in the armed forces, many families have relatives working in the UK and Europe, and the towns of Dina, Sohawa and Pind Dadan Khan each have their own close communities. One thing comes up again and again when families from Jhelum contact us: it is not only the children who want to learn. Retired fathers, grandmothers and working parents all want to read the Quran more correctly, and they want to do it privately, at an hour that suits them.

Online one-to-one lessons make that simple. A trained teacher joins over a live video call, and each student, whatever their age, has the teacher's full attention for the whole lesson.

Learning in retirement

Many people retire with more time for worship than they have ever had, and a quiet wish to recite properly. Some learned to read as children but were never taught Tajweed. Others read fluently but know that certain letters, such as the heavy and light sounds, are not quite right. Sitting in a class with children can feel awkward. A private online lesson removes that worry.

  • Private: just you and your teacher, with no one else listening.
  • Your pace: the teacher goes slowly where you need it and moves on where you do not.
  • Clear screen: the page is shared on screen, and a tablet or laptop shows it larger for easier reading.
  • Your hour: after Fajr, mid-morning or after Isha, every day or a few days a week.

Our Tajweed course works through the rules verse by verse, and the Nazra Quran course builds smooth, accurate reading. More on this is on our page for Quran classes for adults.

Grandparents and grandchildren side by side

In many Jhelum homes, grandparents look after the children while parents work. That makes them the natural people to keep an eye on Quran lessons too. A common pattern is to book two lessons back to back on the same tablet: the grandchild reads first, then the grandparent has a lesson of their own. Each lesson is separate and one-to-one, so neither has to wait for the other's level. Children usually start with the Noorani Qaida; see online Quran classes for kids for how we teach young learners.

Families in the forces and relatives abroad

For serving families based at Jhelum Cantonment, Mangla or elsewhere, an online teacher stays the same through every posting. And for relatives in the UK or Europe, lessons work across time zones too: our page on online Quran classes in the UK explains how we keep the lesson at the same UK time all year. A family member abroad can message the same WhatsApp number to ask how the children are getting on.

What happens in a lesson

Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being studied and points to the word to be read. The student reads it aloud from the shared page on a phone, tablet or laptop, and the teacher corrects pronunciation and Tajweed straight away. Each lesson on the Monday to Friday plan is 30 minutes. The how it works page has the full setup.

Questions from families in Jhelum

Do you teach outside Jhelum city?

Yes. Lessons are live video calls, so students in Jhelum, Dina, Sohawa, Pind Dadan Khan, Kala Gujran, Domeli and the villages of the district all learn in exactly the same way.

I am retired and never learned Tajweed properly. Is it too late?

No. Many of our students are adults, and some begin in retirement. The lesson is private, the teacher goes at your pace, and you can start from the Noorani Qaida or from Tajweed, whichever suits your reading.

Can a grandparent and a grandchild both take lessons?

Yes. Each student has their own one-to-one lesson. Many families book them back to back on the same device, so one finishes and the next begins.

Can I have the lesson early in the morning?

Yes. We teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so a lesson after Fajr, mid-morning or late at night is all possible.

What is the fee?

The Monday to Friday plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student for 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes. The fee for any other schedule is discussed with our team.

Is the first lesson free?

Yes. The trial lesson is free, with nothing to pay and nothing to sign. Female and male teachers are both available.
