Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir
Online Quran classes in Mirpur AJK
Private live Quran lessons for families in Mirpur and Azad Kashmir, with the same teacher when the family is in the UK.
Quran lessons for families between Mirpur and the UK
Mirpur and its neighbouring towns, Dadyal, Chakswari, Islamgarh and Kotli, have a connection with Britain like nowhere else in Pakistan. Many families have relatives in Bradford, Birmingham, Luton or Manchester, and plenty divide their lives between the two: children born in the UK come back to live with grandparents, families return to settle, or spend long summers and wedding seasons at home by Mangla Lake. This back-and-forth is wonderful for family life, but it is hard on Quran lessons. Every move usually means a new teacher, a new method and starting again.
Online one-to-one lessons solve that. Your child keeps the same teacher whether they are in Mirpur or in England, and their progress carries on without a break.
One teacher, two countries
Because lessons are live video calls, the teacher does not care which country the student is in. Only the clock changes. Pakistan does not change its clocks, so it is 5 hours ahead of the UK in winter and 4 hours ahead in summer. We teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so when the family travels we simply move the lesson to a sensible local time.
- In Mirpur: lessons after school, after Maghrib or whenever suits the household.
- In the UK: the same teacher, at an after-school or weekend time in UK hours.
- Back again: the lesson returns to Pakistan time, and the child picks up exactly where they stopped.
Families living permanently in Britain can read our page on online Quran classes in the UK, and relatives elsewhere abroad can see Quran classes for overseas Pakistanis.
Children who have moved back from the UK
Children who arrive in Mirpur after growing up in Britain often speak English most comfortably, and some had only a weekend madrasah class before. They may be ahead of local children in some things and behind in others. In a group class that mix is difficult. In a one-to-one lesson it is not a problem: the teacher checks exactly what the child already knows and starts from there. Tell us which language your child is most at ease with when you book, and our team will take it into account.
Grandparents looking after children
In many Mirpur homes, grandparents are raising grandchildren while parents work abroad. They want the children to learn properly, but they do not always want to drive them to a tutor every day. With online lessons the teacher comes to the house, the grandparent can sit nearby, and the parents in the UK can message our WhatsApp number to ask how the children are progressing.
What happens in a lesson
Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being studied, a lesson from the Noorani Qaida or a page of the Quran, and points to the word to be read. The student reads aloud from the shared page on a phone, tablet or laptop, and the teacher corrects pronunciation and Tajweed immediately. Each lesson on the Monday to Friday plan is 30 minutes. See how it works.

The fee
Our standard plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student on the Monday to Friday plan, which gives 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday. It is the same for every course and for a female or male teacher. If you want weekends only, fewer days or longer lessons, the fee is discussed directly with our team. See the fees page.

Questions from families in Mirpur

Tell us which language the student is most comfortable with, whether English, Urdu or another, when you request the trial. Our team takes your preference into account when arranging the teacher.
