Quran classes for overseas Pakistanis

Live one-to-one Quran lessons from Pakistan for families abroad, at a time that suits your local time zone.

Keeping the Quran at the heart of family life abroad

For Pakistani families living abroad, finding a trusted Quran teacher can be one of the hardest parts of raising children far from home. The local mosque class may be far away, held at inconvenient times or too large for your child to get real attention. Many parents also want a teacher who understands Pakistani family culture and teaches the way they were taught.

OQC.com.pk is based in Pakistan and teaches students worldwide. Lessons are live, one-to-one video classes, so your child in Manchester, Toronto, Dubai, Riyadh, Oslo or Sydney gets their own teacher, at a time that fits your local evening.

Time zones are not a problem

We teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the student picks the days. That means you choose a time in your own time zone, such as after school, after dinner or on weekend mornings, and we arrange a teacher who is available then. When clocks change for daylight saving, just let our team know and we will help keep the lesson at the same local time.

  • Gulf countries: lessons after school or after Isha.
  • UK and Europe: after-school and early-evening slots, or weekend mornings.
  • North America: after-school and evening slots, any day of the week.
  • Australia and the Far East: evenings and weekends, local time.

How lessons work

Each lesson is a live video call. The teacher shares their screen with the Quran or Qaida page, points to each word, listens to the student read and corrects mistakes immediately. Children growing up abroad often hear Arabic letters less often, so this close listening and correction matters even more. Our how it works page walks through the setup.

Any country

Students abroad learn exactly like students in Pakistan.

Your local time

We teach 24/7, so every time zone is covered.

One-to-one

Private lessons with full attention on one child.

Female teachers

Available for girls, little ones and mothers.

Courses

  • Noorani Qaida: letters, sounds and joining, for complete beginners.
  • Nazra Quran: fluent, accurate reading from the Mushaf.
  • Tajweed: the rules of recitation, practised verse by verse.
  • Hifz: memorising selected surahs or the whole Quran.
  • Islamic Studies: salah, duas, kalimas and daily basics for children.

During the free trial the teacher checks your child's level and recommends where to start. See the full course list.

For children and parents

Most overseas families start with their children; our page on online Quran classes for kids explains how we keep lessons focused and encouraging. Parents often join too: see Quran classes for adults and, for mothers and sisters, online Quran classes for ladies with a female teacher.

Why many families abroad choose one-to-one online lessons

Weekend schools and mosque classes do valuable work, but a single teacher with a large group cannot listen closely to every child every week. Children who grow up speaking English or another language at school may need extra help with sounds such as the heavy letters, which are easy to get wrong without regular correction. In a private online lesson, the teacher hears every word and corrects it there and then.

Online lessons also travel with you. When you visit Pakistan for the summer or for a family wedding, lessons can continue from there at a new local time, and when you return home they simply carry on. Parents can sit nearby, see the Quran page on screen and follow their child's progress lesson by lesson, which is reassuring when you cannot easily visit a teacher in person.

Fee and payment from abroad

Our standard plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student on the Monday to Friday plan, which gives 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday. For students outside Pakistan, our team explains how to arrange payment, and the fee for any other schedule, such as weekends only, is also discussed directly with the team. Nothing is charged for the trial. WhatsApp us on +92 333 8182884 or see the fees page.
