Online Quran classes in Gujrat

Private live Quran lessons for families in Gujrat, and for their relatives in Europe and the Gulf, each at their own local time.

Quran lessons at home in Gujrat

Gujrat lies between the Jhelum and the Chenab, a prosperous district of busy workshops, farmland and towns such as Kharian, Lalamusa, Jalalpur Jattan and Sarai Alamgir. It is also one of the districts with the strongest links abroad. Almost every family seems to have someone in Spain, Italy, Greece, Norway, the UK or the Gulf. That shapes how families here think about their children's Quran education: they want the same quality of teaching for the children at home and for the cousins growing up overseas. Online Quran classes deliver exactly that.

Every lesson at OQC.com.pk is one-to-one. One teacher listens to one student for the whole lesson, corrects each mistake as it happens and moves at the pace that suits that student.

One family, two countries

When part of the family lives in Gujrat and part in Europe, children often end up learning in very different ways. Those at home may go to the local masjid, while those abroad may manage only a weekend class or nothing at all. With online lessons, every child can learn the same courses to the same standard, each at their own local time. Because we teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, a child in Gujrat can learn after school in the afternoon while a cousin in Barcelona or Oslo has a lesson after school there.

  • Same courses everywhere: Noorani Qaida, Nazra, Tajweed, Hifz and Islamic Studies.
  • Local time: every student books the hour that suits their own day.
  • Visits home: when relatives come to Gujrat for a wedding or the summer, their lessons can continue from here at Pakistani time.
  • Back again: when they return abroad, the lesson moves back to their usual local time.

Families abroad can read more on our pages for overseas Pakistanis and the UK.

For busy business families

Gujrat is known for its fan, furniture and pottery workshops, and many parents work long hours in business. Driving children to a tutor and back every day takes time that families simply do not have. With online lessons the teacher comes to the child instead. Choose any hour from early morning to late at night, and any days: Monday to Friday, weekends only, three days a week or another pattern.

How a lesson works

Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being studied, a lesson from the Noorani Qaida or a page of the Quran, and points to the word to be read. The student reads aloud from the shared page on a phone, tablet or laptop, and the teacher corrects pronunciation, joining and Tajweed straight away. Lessons on the Monday to Friday plan last 30 minutes. Our how it works page explains what you need.

Courses

  • Noorani Qaida: letters, sounds and joining, for complete beginners.
  • Nazra Quran: fluent, accurate reading from the Mushaf.
  • Tajweed: the rules of recitation, practised verse by verse.
  • Hifz: memorising selected surahs or the whole Quran.
  • Islamic Studies: salah, duas, kalimas and daily basics for children.

The teacher checks the student's level in the free trial and suggests the right course. Compare them on the courses page.
