Male and female teachers, 24/7
Online Quran teacher for your home
A qualified teacher on your screen at the hour you choose: what to look for, how to test a teacher in a free trial, and how our one-to-one lessons work.
Why so many families now look for a Quran teacher online
For generations, children in Pakistan learned the Quran from the masjid qari or from a teacher who came to the house after Asr. Many still do, and that tradition has served families well. But daily life has changed. Children have school, tuition and homework; parents work long or unusual hours; and in many neighbourhoods the one teacher everybody knows is already fully booked, or can only come at a single fixed time. When the teacher is ill, travelling or busy at a wedding, lessons simply stop.
An online Quran teacher solves most of these problems at once. The teacher joins your home on a live video call, at the hour you choose, on the days you choose. OQC.com.pk teaches from Pakistan to students in every city and in any country, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and every lesson is one-to-one. This page explains what to look for in a teacher, how to test one in a free trial, and how lessons with our teachers work.
Searching for a "Quran teacher near me"?
Most parents begin by searching for a Quran teacher or Quran classes near their home. It is a sensible instinct: you want someone reliable, close by and easy to reach. In practice, the nearest teacher is not always the best fit. They may not teach girls, may have no time left in the evening, or may teach several children together so that your child reads for only a few minutes.
With online lessons, distance stops mattering. The "nearest" teacher becomes the one who is free at your preferred time and suits your child, and they are right there on the screen. A family in a small town near Sahiwal or Dera Ghazi Khan gets exactly the same lesson as a family in Karachi or Lahore.
What a good Quran teacher does in every lesson
Whoever teaches your child, online or at home, these are the things worth watching for. They are also what we expect from our own teachers.
- Listens to every letter: the student reads aloud and the teacher hears each sound, rather than reading along with a group.
- Corrects makharij straight away: throat and heavy letters such as 'ayn, haa, qaaf and daad are pronounced from their proper points before a wrong habit sets in.
- Follows a clear path: from the Noorani Qaida to Nazra, then Tajweed or Hifz, without skipping steps.
- Revises before moving on: each lesson opens with a check of yesterday's work and ends with a small task to practise.
- Stays patient: young children need encouragement and short, focused lessons, not pressure.
- Keeps parents informed: you should know what was covered and where your child needs practice.
- Turns up on time: a regular, punctual lesson is what builds the daily habit.
Male or female teacher: your choice, at any hour
Female and male teachers are both available 24/7, on every course. Many families choose a female Quran teacher for daughters, young children and mothers, and a male teacher for older sons; others simply choose whoever is free at their preferred time. Adult women who want lessons for themselves can read about online Quran classes for ladies. The fee is the same either way.
How to test a teacher in the free trial
The first lesson is free, so use it to judge the teacher, not just the technology. Sit with your child, or nearby, and notice:
- Did the teacher ask what your child has already learned, and listen to them read before deciding where to start?
- Were mistakes corrected clearly and kindly, with the right sound shown again until your child could copy it?
- Did your child read for most of the lesson, rather than mostly listening?
- Was a starting point recommended, with an idea of what comes next?
- Was your child comfortable, and would they be happy to come back tomorrow?
If the answers are yes, you have probably found the right teacher. If not, tell our team on WhatsApp; you are under no obligation.
Home tutor or online teacher?
Both can work well. A home tutor suits families who have a trusted, available teacher nearby. An online teacher tends to suit families who:
- need a time outside the usual after-Asr slot, such as early morning or late evening;
- want a female teacher and cannot find one locally;
- have several children who need separate lessons back to back;
- move house, travel to relatives or live abroad, and want to keep the same teacher;
- prefer that nobody needs to travel to or from the house.

How a lesson with our teachers works
Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the Qaida or Quran page and points to the word to be read; the student reads aloud from the shared page on a laptop, tablet or phone that faces them, and the teacher corrects pronunciation, joining and Tajweed on the spot. No printed Quran is needed. On the Monday to Friday plan each lesson lasts 30 minutes. See how it works for the setup.
One-to-one
The teacher listens to one student for the whole lesson.
24/7 timings
Any hour, on the days the student chooses.
Female or male
Both available on every course, at any hour.

Questions about choosing an online Quran teacher
How do I know the teacher is right for my child?
Book the free trial and watch it. A good teacher listens to every letter, corrects gently, explains clearly and ends with a small task to practise. If it does not feel right, tell our team and they will arrange another teacher.
Can I choose a male or a female teacher?
Yes. Both female and male teachers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on every course. Choose your preference in the form or on WhatsApp.
Does the teacher come to our house?
No. Every lesson is a live one-to-one video call, so the teacher joins from their side and the student learns at home. There is no travel for either of you.
Can we keep the same teacher?
Yes. Students normally stay with the same teacher, who keeps track of their progress. If your timings change, our team first tries to keep the same teacher at the new time.
What is the fee for an online Quran teacher?
The Monday to Friday plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student for 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday. The fee is the same for a female or male teacher. Other schedules are discussed with our team.
Which hours are available?
Any hour. We teach 24/7 and the student chooses the days, so lessons can be early morning, after school, after Isha or late at night.
Is the first lesson free?
Yes. The trial lesson is free, with nothing to pay and no obligation.
