Quran lessons for Pakistani families in Germany
The Pakistani community in Germany is spread across the country, in Frankfurt and Offenbach, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Stuttgart and many smaller towns. Some families have been there for decades, while others arrived recently, as university students, researchers, doctors, engineers or IT professionals. Many local mosque classes are run in Turkish or Arabic, and finding a Quran teacher who understands Pakistani families can mean a long journey. One-to-one online Quran classes bring that teacher into your home over a live video call, at the hour you choose.
OQC.com.pk teaches from Pakistan to students worldwide. Every lesson is private, so the teacher listens to one student only. Families elsewhere in Europe can read about online Quran classes in Norway and the UK.
Made for the German school day
In many German schools, especially primary schools, lessons finish around lunchtime or in the early afternoon. That leaves free time in the afternoon, but it is also when parents are usually still at work. A Quran teacher who can only come at 7 pm does not help much. Because we teach around the clock, the lesson can sit exactly where it suits your child:
- Early afternoon (about 1 to 3 pm in Germany): evening in Pakistan, straight after school and lunch, while the child is still fresh.
- Late afternoon or early evening: once a parent is home to listen in.
- Weekend mornings: for families with sport, music or other activities during the week.
- Late evening: for adults, after work or study.
Germany changes its clocks in late March and late October, and Pakistan does not, so the difference is 4 hours in winter and 3 hours in summer. Our team keeps your lesson at the same German time when the clocks change.
Children who think in German
Children who grow up in Germany usually speak German most comfortably, and often understand more Urdu or Punjabi than they speak. That is natural, and it does not stop them learning the Quran well. In a one-to-one lesson the teacher works at the child's level and listens closely for the sounds that German speakers find hardest, such as the deep throat letters and the heavy letters that have no equivalent in German. When you book, tell us which language your child prefers for explanations, and our team will take it into account.
Students and young professionals
Many Pakistanis in Germany are adults who are far from home for the first time: master's or PhD students, researchers and young professionals. Some never learned to read the Quran fluently as children; others want to finally learn Tajweed properly. Lectures, labs and project deadlines make fixed classes hard to attend. Private online lessons fit around them, early morning, late at night or at weekends, and nobody else hears you read. See Quran classes for adults.
How a lesson works
Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being studied, a lesson from the Noorani Qaida or a page of the Quran, and points to the word to be read. The student reads aloud from the shared page on a laptop, tablet or phone, and the teacher corrects pronunciation, joining and Tajweed immediately. On the Monday to Friday plan each lesson is 30 minutes. Our how it works page explains the setup.

For children, see online Quran classes for kids. Mothers and daughters can learn with a female Quran teacher, and online Quran classes for ladies explains how women fit lessons into busy days. When the family visits Pakistan in the summer holidays, lessons continue from there at a new local time.
Fee and payment from Germany
Our standard plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student on the Monday to Friday plan, which gives 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday. It is the same for every course and for a female or male teacher. Our team explains how to arrange payment from Germany, and the fee for any other schedule, such as weekends only, is discussed directly with the team. See the fees page.
