Online Quran classes in Quetta
Private live Quran lessons for families across Quetta and Balochistan, at warm, convenient hours you choose, even through the winter.
A Quran teacher at home, wherever you are in Quetta
Quetta families take their children's Quran reading seriously, and many still remember learning in the local masjid early in the morning. Today the challenge is usually practical rather than a lack of interest. Distances across the valley can be long, the winters are bitterly cold, and parents are not always comfortable sending a young child out alone, especially after dark. Finding a qualified tutor who can visit the house regularly is not easy either, particularly in the newer housing areas and the towns outside the city. Online Quran classes remove all of these obstacles. The teacher joins a live video call at the time you choose, and your child learns without leaving the warm room.
Every class at OQC.com.pk is one-to-one. Your child is the only student in the lesson, so the teacher hears each letter, corrects it on the spot and moves at exactly the speed your child can manage. There is no group to keep up with and no waiting for a turn to read.
Made for Quetta's winters
Winter changes daily life in Quetta more than in most Pakistani cities. Mornings are freezing, gas pressure can drop just when it is needed most, and schools in the cold zone close for a long winter holiday. Online lessons fit around all of this.
- Warmer hours: move the lesson to late morning or early afternoon on the coldest days.
- The winter holidays: many students use the long break to finish the Qaida or move ahead in Nazra.
- No travel in snow or rain: the lesson happens in the room where the heater is.
- Your own days: Monday to Friday, weekends, or any number of days you prefer.
Because we teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, changing the time for the season is simple. Message our team on WhatsApp and we will look for a slot with a teacher who is free then.
What happens in an online lesson
Teacher and student both keep their video on and can see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being studied, whether it is a lesson of the Noorani Qaida or a page of the Quran, and points to the word to be read. The student reads it aloud from that shared page on a phone, tablet or laptop, and the teacher corrects pronunciation, joining and Tajweed at once. On the Monday to Friday plan each lesson is 30 minutes long, which is enough for steady progress without tiring a young child. The full setup is explained on our how it works page.
Parents are welcome to sit in the room. Many like to hear exactly what their child is learning and how the teacher corrects mistakes, and it is the easiest way to follow progress from week to week.
Internet and electricity
A lesson needs only a phone, tablet or laptop with a camera and a working connection. If the home internet is weak, a phone on mobile data is usually enough for a clear video call. Keep the device charged before the lesson, in case power goes. If a lesson is interrupted anyway, send a message on WhatsApp and our team will work with you to rearrange it. In a one-to-one class a short break never means losing your place in a group.
Explanations in a language your child understands
Quetta is home to Pashto, Balochi, Brahui, Hazaragi and Urdu speakers, and many children are comfortable in more than one. The Quran is always read in Arabic, but encouragement, instructions and explanations should come in a language the student follows easily. When you request the trial, tell us which language suits the student best, and our team takes it into account when arranging the teacher.
Courses for every stage
- Noorani Qaida: letters, sounds and joining, for complete beginners.
- Nazra Quran: fluent, accurate reading from the Mushaf.
- Tajweed: the rules of recitation, practised verse by verse.
- Hifz: memorising selected surahs or the whole Quran.
- Islamic Studies: salah, duas, kalimas and daily basics for children.
In the free trial the teacher listens to the student read, or checks which letters they already know, and suggests where to start. Compare the options on the courses page.

For children, adults and women
Young children usually do best with short lessons at the same time every day; see online Quran classes for kids. Adults who never had the chance to learn properly, or who want to correct their recitation privately, can study at any hour; read about Quran classes for adults. Mothers and daughters can ask for a female Quran teacher, and our page on online Quran classes for ladies is written for women who want to learn themselves.
Relatives in other cities and abroad
Many Quetta families have relatives in Karachi, the Gulf or further away. Each student has their own lessons at their own local time, so cousins in different places can all learn to the same standard. Families abroad can read about Quran classes for overseas Pakistanis, and relatives in the Gulf about the UAE or Saudi Arabia.
The fee
Our standard plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student on the Monday to Friday plan, which gives 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday. It is the same for every course and for a female or male teacher. For weekends only, fewer days or longer lessons, the fee is discussed directly with our team. Details are on the fees page.
