Online Quran classes in Saudi Arabia

Live one-to-one Quran lessons for Pakistani families in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and across the Kingdom, just two hours behind Pakistan.

Quran lessons for Pakistani families in the Kingdom

Pakistani families have lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for generations, in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Makkah, Madinah and many smaller cities. Children there grow up hearing the Quran recited every day, yet many parents still find it hard to arrange regular, personal Quran lessons. Private tutors can be difficult to find, school days are long, and fathers working shifts or long hours have little time for daily pick-ups. One-to-one online lessons let your child learn at home with their own teacher, at a time that suits your family.

OQC.com.pk teaches from Pakistan to students worldwide. Each lesson is live and one-to-one, so your child has the teacher's attention from the first minute to the last. This page is written for families in Saudi Arabia. For the Emirates, see online Quran classes in the UAE; for other countries, see Quran classes for overseas Pakistanis.

Only two hours apart

Saudi Arabia is 2 hours behind Pakistan throughout the year, and neither country uses daylight saving time, so the difference never changes. That makes planning easy. We teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which means any Saudi hour you choose is a normal teaching hour for us.

  • After school: a short lesson once children are home and have eaten.
  • After Maghrib or Isha: a calm family time when a parent can listen in.
  • Weekend mornings: Friday or Saturday slots for families whose weekdays are full.
  • Late night: for fathers and mothers who want their own lessons once the house is quiet.

Following the Saudi working week

In Saudi Arabia the school and working week runs from Sunday to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday as the weekend. Our listed plan is Monday to Friday, which many families are happy with. Others prefer lessons to follow the Saudi school week, or to learn only at weekends. Because the student always chooses the days, any of these is possible; simply tell our team which days you want and they will arrange the timetable and discuss the fee for that schedule with you.

How a lesson works

Teacher and student both have their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being read, a Noorani Qaida lesson or a page of the Quran, and points to each word. The student reads aloud from the shared page on a laptop, tablet or phone, and the teacher corrects pronunciation, joining and Tajweed immediately. On the Monday to Friday plan lessons are 30 minutes long. The setup is explained on our how it works page.

Building on what children hear every day

Children in the Kingdom often know many surahs by ear from school, the masjid and the radio. Hearing is a wonderful start, but reading accurately from the page is a separate skill. Some children recite a surah confidently from memory yet stumble when asked to read an unfamiliar page. A one-to-one teacher closes that gap by building proper reading from the letters up, then moving to fluent Nazra, Tajweed and, for many families, Hifz.

Courses

  • Noorani Qaida: letters, sounds and joining, for complete beginners.
  • Nazra Quran: fluent, accurate reading from the Mushaf.
  • Tajweed: the rules of recitation, practised verse by verse.
  • Hifz: memorising selected surahs or the whole Quran.
  • Islamic Studies: salah, duas, kalimas and daily basics for children.

In the free trial the teacher checks the student's level and suggests where to start. See every course on the courses page.
