Online Quran classes in Qatar

Private live Quran lessons for Pakistani families in Doha, Al Wakrah, Al Rayyan and across Qatar, with the same teacher wherever your job takes you next.

Quran lessons for Pakistani families in Qatar

Pakistani families live all over Qatar, from Doha, Al Sadd and Bin Mahmoud to Al Wakrah, Al Rayyan, Umm Salal, Al Khor and Lusail. Most came for work, many on contracts, and their children grow up in schools that follow the Pakistani, British, Indian, American or Qatari curriculum. Daily life is busy, summers are fierce and evenings fill up quickly. Finding a reliable Quran teacher who comes to the house at the same time every day is not easy. One-to-one online Quran classes bring a qualified teacher to your home over a live video call, at the hour you choose.

OQC.com.pk teaches from Pakistan to students worldwide. Every lesson is private, so your child is the only student the teacher is listening to. Families elsewhere in the Gulf can read our pages for Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Oman.

School Arabic is not the same as reading the Quran

Many children in Qatar study Arabic at school, and some speak a little with friends. Parents sometimes assume this means Quran reading will take care of itself. It helps, but it is not the same skill. School Arabic teaches modern vocabulary, grammar and writing, often without the full vowel marks. Reading the Quran correctly asks for something different:

  • The Quranic script: the Mushaf used in Pakistan has its own letter shapes, full harakat and small signs that children rarely see in school books.
  • Stopping and starting: the waqf signs tell the reader where to pause, where to continue and where stopping changes the meaning.
  • Tajweed: rules such as ghunnah, madd and the heavy and light letters are not taught in a language class.
  • Makharij: each letter has an exact point of pronunciation, which needs a teacher listening closely.

In the free trial, the teacher listens to your child read and finds out what they already know. A child who reads school Arabic well may move quickly through the Noorani Qaida and on to Nazra and Tajweed. A child who mixes school pronunciation with Quranic pronunciation gets gentle correction, word by word.

When the job moves, the teacher stays

Careers in the Gulf rarely stand still. A contract ends, a better offer comes from Dubai or Riyadh, a posting takes the family back to Pakistan or on to Europe or Canada. For children, every move usually means a new school, a new home and, all too often, a new Quran teacher with a different method. With online lessons, that last change does not have to happen. The same teacher continues wherever you go, with the same notes on your child's progress. Only the lesson time changes.

That continuity matters more than many parents expect. A teacher who has heard your child read for a year knows which letters they confuse, how fast they can go and what keeps them motivated. Starting again with someone new can cost months.

Only two hours apart

Qatar is 2 hours behind Pakistan all year, with no daylight saving in either country. We teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so any time that suits your family in Qatar is an ordinary teaching hour for us.

  • After school: once children are home, have eaten and rested.
  • After Maghrib or Isha: when a parent is home to listen in.
  • Friday or Saturday mornings: for families whose weekdays are full.
  • Late evening: for parents who want their own lessons when the house is quiet.

You choose the days too. The Qatari school week runs Sunday to Thursday, and some families like lessons to match it, while others prefer our standard Monday to Friday plan or weekends only. Tell our team what you want.

How a lesson works

Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being studied and points to the word to be read. The student reads aloud from the shared page on a laptop, tablet or phone, and the teacher corrects pronunciation, joining and Tajweed straight away. Lessons on the Monday to Friday plan last 30 minutes. Our how it works page explains the setup step by step.

For children, mothers and fathers

Most families start with their children; see online Quran classes for kids. Mothers can learn with a female Quran teacher while the children are at school, and online Quran classes for ladies explains how women fit lessons into the day. Fathers on long shifts can book their own lessons at any hour; see Quran classes for adults.

Summer in Pakistan, Ramadan in Doha

The long summer break is when many families fly home. Lessons carry on from Pakistan, two hours later on the clock, and return to your Qatar time when you come back. In Ramadan, when school and office hours change, tell our team and the lesson moves to a better time.

Fee and payment from Qatar

Our standard plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student on the Monday to Friday plan, which gives 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday. It is the same for every course and for a female or male teacher. Our team explains how to arrange payment from Qatar, and the fee for any other schedule, such as Sunday to Thursday or weekends only, is discussed directly with the team. See the fees page.

Questions from families in Qatar

What is the time difference between Qatar and Pakistan?

Qatar is 2 hours behind Pakistan all year, because neither country changes its clocks. A 6 pm lesson in Doha is 8 pm in Pakistan.

My child already learns Arabic at school. Do they still need Quran lessons?

Usually, yes. School Arabic teaches the language, while reading the Quran correctly needs the Quranic script, its vowel and stopping marks, and the rules of Tajweed. Knowing the letters is a head start, and the teacher builds on it in the free trial.

If our job moves us to another country, can lessons continue?

Yes. The same teacher can continue wherever you move. We teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so the lesson simply moves to a suitable time in your new country.

Can lessons follow the Sunday to Thursday school week?

Yes. The student chooses the days. Our listed plan is Monday to Friday; for Sunday to Thursday, weekends or any other pattern, our team arranges the timetable and discusses the fee with you.

What is the fee?

The Monday to Friday plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student for 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday. Our team explains how to pay from Qatar and discusses the fee for any other schedule.

Are female teachers available?

Yes. Female teachers are available on every course for girls, young children and women.

Is the first lesson free?

Yes. The trial lesson is free, with nothing to pay and no obligation.
