Online Quran classes in Oman
Private live Quran lessons for Pakistani and Baloch families in Muscat, Sohar, Nizwa, Sur, Salalah and every town in Oman.
Quran lessons for Pakistani families across Oman
The link between Oman and Pakistan is older than most. Gwadar on the Makran coast was part of the Sultanate until 1958, and many families of Baloch and Makrani origin have lived in Oman for generations, some for so long that Muscat feels as much like home as anywhere. Alongside them are Pakistani doctors, engineers, traders, drivers and shopkeepers who arrived more recently. Whatever the story, many parents share the same wish: that their children read the Quran correctly, with a teacher they trust.
One-to-one online Quran classes bring that teacher into your home over a live video call, at the hour you choose. OQC.com.pk teaches from Pakistan to students worldwide, and every lesson is private, so your child has the teacher's full attention. Families elsewhere in the Gulf can read our pages for the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Wherever you are in Oman
Oman is a large country with a small population, spread out along the coast and across the mountains and desert. In Muscat, Ruwi, Seeb or Barka a family might find a local Quran teacher, but in Sohar, Sur, Nizwa, Ibri or Duqm it can be much harder, and in Salalah, far down in Dhofar, harder still. Driving a child across town every day to a tutor is a big commitment, especially in the summer heat.
Online lessons remove the distance. A child in a company camp near Duqm, a fishing town on the Batinah coast or a flat in Salalah gets the same live, one-to-one lesson as a child in the capital. All you need is a phone, tablet or laptop with a camera and a steady internet connection.
Language at home, Arabic in the Quran
Children in Pakistani families in Oman often grow up with several languages: Urdu, Balochi, Punjabi, Pashto or Sindhi at home, Arabic in the street and at school, English in class. That is a real strength, but it also means children sometimes carry the sounds of one language into another. A one-to-one teacher listens for exactly those habits and corrects each letter until it is pronounced from its proper point, the makharij that the Noorani Qaida and Tajweed courses are built around.
When you request the trial, tell us which language your child understands best for explanations. Our team takes your preference into account when arranging the teacher.
One hour apart, every day of the year
Oman is just 1 hour behind Pakistan, and neither country uses daylight saving time, so the gap never changes. We teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- After school: the most popular slot for children.
- After Maghrib or Isha: a calm family time when a parent can sit in.
- Friday or Saturday mornings: for families whose weekdays are full.
- Early morning or late night: for parents working shifts at ports, plants or hospitals.
The student also chooses the days, whether that is our standard Monday to Friday plan, the Omani school week of Sunday to Thursday, or weekends only.
Khareef, summer and trips home
Families in Salalah know the khareef, the monsoon months when the hills turn green and visitors pour in, and many families elsewhere travel during the long summer break. Whether you are hosting guests, on holiday in Dhofar or visiting relatives in Pakistan, lessons can continue at a new time and return to the usual slot when life settles. Message our team on WhatsApp and they will help.
How a lesson works
Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being studied and points to each word. The student reads aloud from the shared page, and the teacher corrects pronunciation, joining and Tajweed immediately. On the Monday to Friday plan each lesson is 30 minutes. See how it works for the setup.
