Private Quran lessons for families in Mardan
Mardan is one of the largest cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, surrounded by fertile farmland and busy towns such as Takht Bhai, Katlang and Rustam, with Charsadda and Swabi close by. Religious learning is deeply valued here, and most children start the Quran young. What parents often struggle with is finding a teacher who comes regularly, gives each child proper attention and is acceptable to the whole family. Online Quran classes make that much easier. A qualified teacher joins your home by live video, at the hour you choose, and the children never need to leave the house.
Every lesson at OQC.com.pk is one-to-one. One teacher listens to one student, so every letter is heard and corrected and the pace suits that child alone.
Female teachers for girls and women
Many families in Mardan prefer that girls and women learn with a female teacher, and that is completely understood. Female teachers are available on every course, from the very first Qaida lesson to Tajweed and Hifz. Because the lesson happens inside your own home, there is no need for a stranger to visit and no need for anyone to travel. A mother can sit with her daughter during the class, or learn alongside her in a lesson of her own. Read more about our female Quran teachers and about online Quran classes for ladies.
Large households, one lesson after another
Many Mardan homes are joint families with several children of different ages. In a one-to-one online class each child has a lesson of their own, so a six-year-old starting the Qaida and a twelve-year-old working on Tajweed are never mixed together. Lessons can be arranged back to back so the whole household is finished in one sitting, or spread through the day to suit school and madrasa timings. Tell our team how many children will learn and which hours are free, and we will help plan it.
When fathers and brothers work abroad
A large number of families in the Mardan region have men working in the Gulf or further away, which often leaves mothers managing the children's education alone. Online lessons remove one of the daily jobs: no walking children to class and back. Fathers abroad can also follow progress by messaging our team, and if they want lessons of their own, the teacher can join them at their local time. See our pages for the UAE, Saudi Arabia and overseas Pakistanis.
What happens in a lesson
Teacher and student both keep their video on and can see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being studied, a lesson from the Noorani Qaida or a page of the Quran, and points to the word to be read. The student reads aloud from the shared page on a phone, tablet or laptop, and the teacher corrects pronunciation, joining and Tajweed straight away. On the Monday to Friday plan each lesson is 30 minutes. Our how it works page explains the setup.
Explanations in a language your child knows
Pashto is the home language for most families in Mardan, and many children are also comfortable in Urdu. The Quran is always read in Arabic, but explanations and encouragement work best in a language the child follows easily. Tell us your preference when you request the trial, and our team takes it into account when arranging the teacher.
Courses
- Noorani Qaida: letters, sounds and joining, for complete beginners.
- Nazra Quran: fluent, accurate reading from the Mushaf.
- Tajweed: the rules of recitation, practised verse by verse.
- Hifz: memorising selected surahs or the whole Quran.
- Islamic Studies: salah, duas, kalimas and daily basics for children.
In the free trial the teacher checks the student's level and recommends where to start. See all options on the courses page.
Female teachers
For girls, young children and women, on every course.
One child, one lesson
Siblings each get their own private class.
Learn at home
No travel and no visitors, with family close by.
Any hour
We teach 24/7, around school and madrasa timings.
Timings that fit your household
We teach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the student chooses the days: Monday to Friday, weekends, three days a week or any number you like. Early morning after Fajr, the afternoon after school, or the evening after Isha are all possible. In winter, when evenings are cold and dark, a lesson at home is far easier than a walk to class.
The fee
Our standard plan is PKR 7,500 a month per student on the Monday to Friday plan, which gives 20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday. It is the same for every course and for a female or male teacher. For weekends only, fewer days or longer lessons, the fee is discussed directly with our team. See the fees page.
