Online Quran classes in Sukkur

Private live Quran lessons for families in Sukkur and Upper Sindh, at the cool, quiet hours you choose.

Learn the Quran at home in Sukkur and Upper Sindh

Sukkur sits on the Indus at the heart of Upper Sindh, with Rohri across the river and Shikarpur, Khairpur and Ghotki all close by. It is a region with a long tradition of Quran learning, yet parents here face the same practical problems as everywhere else. A good teacher may live on the other side of the city, the masjid class may be crowded with children of every level, and in the hottest months nobody wants to send a child out in the afternoon. Online Quran classes bring a qualified teacher into your home by video, at an hour that suits your family.

All lessons at OQC.com.pk are one-to-one. One teacher listens to one student for the whole lesson, so mistakes are caught as soon as they are made and the pace is always right for your child.

Lessons for one of Pakistan's hottest summers

Upper Sindh summers are fierce, and the heat shapes daily life from May to September. Children cannot concentrate in a stuffy room in the middle of the afternoon, and power cuts make it harder still. Because we teach around the clock, you choose the hour when the house is coolest and the child is most alert.

  • Early morning: before school or before the day heats up.
  • After sunset: after Maghrib or Isha, once the temperature drops.
  • Late night: for adults who prefer to learn when the household is asleep.
  • Winter afternoons: a comfortable time once the weather turns mild.

The days are your choice too: Monday to Friday, weekends only, three days a week or whatever pattern fits. Changing the timing with the season only takes a WhatsApp message to our team.

When the electricity goes

Load-shedding is a fact of life in many parts of Sindh, so plan for it. Charge the phone or tablet before the lesson, and keep mobile data available as a backup if the home Wi-Fi router loses power. A phone on a reasonable mobile signal is usually enough for a clear video call. If a lesson is cut short anyway, message our team on WhatsApp and we will work with you to rearrange it. In a private class a short interruption never means falling behind a group.

Explanations in a language your child understands

Families in and around Sukkur speak Sindhi, Saraiki, Urdu and other languages at home, and many children are comfortable in more than one. The Quran is always read in Arabic, but instructions, encouragement and explanations should come in words the student follows easily. When you request the trial, tell us which language works best, and our team takes it into account when arranging the teacher.

How a lesson works

Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the page being studied, a lesson from the Noorani Qaida or a page of the Quran, and points to each word. The student reads aloud from the shared page on a phone, tablet or laptop, and the teacher corrects pronunciation, joining and Tajweed on the spot. Lessons on the Monday to Friday plan are 30 minutes long. Read our how it works page for the full setup.

Courses

  • Noorani Qaida: letters, sounds and joining, for complete beginners.
  • Nazra Quran: fluent, accurate reading from the Mushaf.
  • Tajweed: the rules of recitation, practised verse by verse.
  • Hifz: memorising selected surahs or the whole Quran.
  • Islamic Studies: salah, duas, kalimas and daily basics for children.

The free trial shows the teacher where your child is, and the teacher suggests the right course. All options are on the courses page.
