Weekend Quran classes online

Private live Quran lessons on Saturday and Sunday, at the hour you choose, for children, adults and families who are busy all week.

Quran lessons for families who are busy all week

For many families, weekdays are simply full. Children leave early for school, come home to tuition and homework, and are tired by the evening. Parents work long hours, and some travel or work shifts. By Friday night, everyone agrees that the Quran lesson keeps getting pushed back. Weekend Quran classes solve that problem: the lesson happens on Saturday and Sunday, when the house is calmer and the student is fresh.

OQC.com.pk runs one-to-one online Quran classes from Pakistan, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The student picks the days, so a weekend-only schedule is just as easy to arrange as a weekday one. A qualified teacher joins your home on a live video call, at the hour you choose.

Looking for weekend Quran classes near me?

Many parents search for a weekend Quran class near their home and find only a crowded madrasa session, a long drive, or nothing at all. Online lessons remove the travel completely. Whether you live in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, a smaller town or abroad, the class comes to you. There is no pick-up and drop-off, no waiting outside, and no lost Saturday morning in traffic. If you are still deciding what to look for in a teacher, read our guide to choosing an online Quran teacher.

Who weekend classes suit best

  • School children with heavy weekdays: school, tuition and homework leave no room, but Saturday and Sunday mornings are free.
  • Working adults: professionals who want to learn to read the Quran, improve their Tajweed or revise what they learned as children. See Quran classes for adults.
  • Mothers and sisters: women who prefer a female Quran teacher and have more quiet time at the weekend.
  • Families abroad: parents in the UK, Europe, the Gulf or North America whose children have long school days. Weekend mornings at local time are a common choice; see Quran classes for overseas Pakistanis.
  • Students adding extra practice: learners on a weekday plan who want weekend revision, for example before finishing the Qaida or during Hifz.

Weekend only, or weekends plus a few weekdays

Learning only twice a week works, but it needs a little planning. A week is a long gap, so letters and rules can slip between lessons. Teachers handle this by starting each lesson with a short revision and giving a small amount of practice for the days in between. Some families choose a mixed pattern instead, such as Saturday, Sunday and one weekday evening, so the gap is never more than a few days.

Longer weekend lessons are another option. A student who learns only on Saturday and Sunday can have a longer lesson each day, with a short break, so the total learning time stays healthy. Our team helps you pick the pattern that fits the student's age and level.

Choosing a weekend time

Because we teach at every hour, you choose the slot that works for your home. Popular weekend choices are:

  • Early morning after Fajr: a quiet house and a fresh mind, popular with adults and Hifz students.
  • Mid-morning: young children after breakfast, before family plans for the day begin.
  • Afternoon: older children and teenagers who like a lie-in.
  • Evening: working parents who are busy with errands and family during the day.

If your weekend plans change, such as a wedding, a family visit or travel, tell your teacher on WhatsApp and the lesson can be moved. Our team first tries to keep the same teacher at the new time.

What students learn

Weekend students follow exactly the same courses as weekday students. Beginners start with the Noorani Qaida, learning each letter and its sound, then joined letters and short words. They move on to Nazra Quran for fluent reading and Tajweed for correct recitation. Children can also study Islamic Studies such as salah, duas and kalimas. For younger learners, see online Quran classes for kids.

  • Noorani Qaida: letters, sounds and joining, for complete beginners.
  • Nazra Quran: fluent, accurate reading from the Mushaf.
  • Tajweed: the rules of recitation, practised verse by verse.
  • Hifz: memorising selected surahs or the whole Quran.
  • Islamic Studies: salah, duas, kalimas and daily basics for children.

How a weekend lesson works

Teacher and student both keep their video on and see each other at the side of the screen. The teacher screen-shares the Qaida or Quran page and points to the word to be read. The student reads aloud from the shared page on a phone, tablet or laptop, and the teacher corrects pronunciation and Tajweed on the spot. No printed Quran is needed. Parents are welcome to sit nearby and listen. See how it works for the full picture.

Questions about weekend classes

Can I take Quran classes only on Saturday and Sunday?

Yes. We teach 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and the student picks the days. Saturday and Sunday only is one of the schedules families ask for most.

Is there a weekend Quran class near me?

With online classes you do not need one nearby. The teacher joins your home on a live video call, so a student in any city or town in Pakistan, or anywhere abroad, can learn on weekends without travelling.

What is the fee for weekend-only classes?

Our listed fee is PKR 7,500 a month per student for the Monday to Friday plan (20 one-to-one 30-minute live classes a month, Monday to Friday). The fee for weekends only, or weekends plus a few weekdays, is discussed directly with our team on WhatsApp, because it depends on how many lessons and how long each one is.

Can weekend lessons be longer than 30 minutes?

Yes, longer lessons can be arranged. Tell our team how long you would like each lesson to be and they will discuss the schedule and fee with you.

Is a female teacher available on weekends?

Yes. Female and male teachers are both available 24/7, including Saturday and Sunday.

Can several children learn on the same weekend morning?

Is the first lesson free?

Yes. The trial lesson is free, with nothing to pay and no obligation, and it can be on a weekend too.
